Application Process

The City of Salmon Arm is currently accepting requests for BC PNP referrals via our online application process. We have developed a four-step response plan, which includes assessment via:

  • a Skype call
  • a mandatory site visit to our community
  • review of a formal request for referral to the PNP program by the applicant

Approval at each step is required in order for the application to proceed.

Prospective applicants must provide a plan to establish a new, eligible business in BC that aligns with one of the following economic development priorities:

  • Computer systems design and related services
  • Management, scientific and technical consulting services
  • Food manufacturing
  • Machinery manufacturing
  • Other amusement and recreation industries

Applications with business ideas outside of these sectors will not be considered for the regional pilot, though they may be eligible under one of the other pathways of the PNP program.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • While we will work with immigration consultants and translation services where appropriate, the primary point of contact throughout the application process must be the applicant.
  • That we will only respond to applications received through the official intake process as detailed below.
