Shuswap Emergency Program
The Shuswap Emergency Program is the regional organization for the Shuswap that works to ensure residents are prepared, safe and informed in cases of floods, wildfire, extreme weather and more. It serves the citizens of the City of Salmon Arm, District of Sicamous and CSRD Electoral Areas C, D, E, F and G.

If your business has been impacted by the Shuswap wildfires and you are needing temporary work space, Salmon Arm Economic Development Society and the Salmon Arm Innovation Centre Powered by SASCU can assist. We are offering temporary, free, drop-in work space for businesses affected by the wildfire. This space includes access to a desk, wifi, and office equipment on an as available basis. 2023 Wildfire Business Impact Survey - This survey is applicable to any wildfire-impacted businesses in BC’s Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. Impacts can include road closures, evacuation alerts/orders, smoke, public perception of closure and more.

TOTA Travel Order Impact Survey- The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) and the British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA) are working together to assess the immediate and long-term impacts on Thompson Okanagan tourism    stakeholders from Accommodation Travel Restrictions (Southern Intern Areas) Order by the Province of BC, originally effective August 19 - September 4, 2023.  OTA and BCHA are conducting a survey to collect details on the impacts of the order on tourism operations to present a summary of the findings to the BC Ministry of Tourism, Art, Culture, and Sport (MTACS) to share with the other ministries.
