The city is located at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 97B, each route seeing thousands of vehicles daily. Salmon Arm is continually punching above its weight with its vibrant downtown, sports and conference venues, and exceptional outdoor recreation infrastructure. The region has invested in significant built and human capital to support the growth of this priority sector including The Municipal Regional District Tax Program that uses a collaborative approach to creating and supporting events that attract visitors to the area.
