Salmon Arm is a four season playground for the outdoor enthusiast! The local climate, matched with ShuswapSalmon Arm Wharf Lake make Salmon Arm a true tourist destination. There are hundreds of tourism related businesses in Salmon Arm and approximately 10% of our workforce is employed in this sector. The diversity of tourism businesses include accommodations, food services, sporting rentals, tour operators, golf courses, agri-tourism (wineries, breweries and many more!), and tourism experiences (skydiving, lake diving, houseboating, etc!).

Salmon Arm offers a variety of sports and recreation infrastructure including a twin sheet arena and pool, splash park and many community parks, Salmon Arm Houseboatingan expansive trail system, Larch Hills Cross Country Ski Trails, the longest curved wooden wharf in North America, and the breathtaking Canoe Beach. But that’s not all, we also offer a vibrant arts and culture scene that is always a welcome surprise to new comers. Everything from First Nations cultural experiences, live and film theatre, art galleries, museums, wine tours, Adams River salmon run, and the world famous Roots & Blues festival, all draw thousands of tourists to our community. We are a small city with a BIG draw!
